Lawyers   -  Wasn't it just heartwarming that 4 lawyers were so
compassionate for their clients that they do not want listing of those
declaring bankruptcy in the Californian. A shear coincidence that the 4
letters to the editor arrived on the exact same day. There is a general
consensus that bankruptcy is out of control. and listing could be a
deterrent. Apparently not with the Bakersfield legal profession. If at
least 4 lawyers work in the bankruptcy field here, what must it be
across the country.

Lawyers II -   There was an article this week where our stupid president
( according to the main stream media ) taught me a new word, "litigious".
He said that he is worried about a "litigious" society and that enough
is enough. Litigious society means a society where everybody sues the
crap out of everybody else. The democrats are now pushing a Patients
Bill of Rights which permits patients to sue the HMO'S. This will be a
windfall for the Trial Lawyers Assn. whose members pour money into the
democratic party coffers. It is also a conspiracy to run the HMO'S out
of business so that Hillary's socialist rejected health care plan will
be put under the control of the federal government. President Bush says
he will veto the bill. I certainly hope so.

The Press  -  Ellan Goodman states in her anti-execution column that she
would prefer that McVeigh spend the rest of his life in prison with
nobody paying any attention to him. Fat chance with our American press.
He would be continuously in print.
